Description
Two Ebonized Canes, 19th c., with gold plated knob handles, one engraved 1883, Taller- H.- 33 1/2 in. Provenance: The Estate of John Peter Eaves, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. One engraved 1883 the knob measuring 1 inch in diameter with 1/8 inch dent, scratches and scuffmarks throughout the shaft, and the tip tarnished. The other engraved with initials, the knob measuring 1 ½ inches in diameter, scratches throughout the shaft, and tip dented and tarnished.
