H: 22 1/8 in. D: 11 in. Mark: Frederick Cooper.
From the heaviness, the density of the porcelain and style of Phoenix’s eye, it belongs to Ming
Dynasty. From the shape of the vase, we could not find a sample among Ming porcelains. Frederick
Cooper had made lamps with porcelain vases, but there is no record found that he ever made porcelain
of this type. Additionally, no American porcelain has this kind of density. It might be a collection of
Frederick Cooper from China. Provenance: Frederick Cooper.
