Description
This is an amazingly rare copper ship lantern, made by Birmingham Engineering in England, and distributed by Griffith and Sons. A patent date of 1932. This is a bow/starboard patent lantern #24. Excellent copper throughout. Comes complete with interior burner and fount, and has a clear Fresnel lens. A search online shows these same lanterns selling between $500 and $2500 via auction, and this one will go to the highest bidder as well! Chimney top opens easily, as does the side door. Side door is fully removable. Also comes with side pole mounting bracket and screw.
