There were three items in this particular lot, and Artemis Gallery was able to identify the prior owner of each of the 3 items. While this is obviously not as good as full provenience from the time of excavation, it is much better than a number of other auction houses. Many auction houses purposely hide whose estate an artefact came from, thereby losing 100 % of any provenance information that came before.

Every time I receive an artefact from Artemis Gallery I am impressed with how safely packaged each item is. Well done, Shipping Department! The artefact received was well described and excellently photographed, so no surprises. I'm very happy with the transaction.
