Chinese porcelain, jade & works of art
The first day of this two-day sale features an important selection of Chinese porcelain. The morning part of the sale embraces Chinese taste porcelain, mostly from the 19th and 20th C. The afternoon starts with 3 works by the Sino-Belgian artist Sadji, continued by the section of Chinese sculpture. This includes a number of important bronzes. We follow with jades from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The wood section of the sale contains a number of important panels, including a large jade-embellished panel as well as an important laquered panel with jade and cloisonné. Followed by a nice grouping of Canton enamels, the first day is concluded by some 120 lots of Chinese famille rose porcelain from the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods.
