14th WestLicht Photographica Auction
Along with the familiar high quality offer of outstanding cameras and Photographica, this WestLicht Auction on November 30th will see two extraordinary and important detective-cameras up for sale: the 'Scovill & Adams' book-camera and the Albert Darier 'Escopette'. Both cameras are extremely rare and published in almost every classic camera book.
The next lots of equal exclusivity are a number of handpicked Leicas: next to sought-after rarities like a Safari-Prototype M4-2 Oliv and a black painted IIIg with 3 crowns for the Swedish Military this auction will see amongst others a rare Leica UW underwater housing, a KE-7A produced for the US Army and a black painted M4 MOT.
The range of rare Japanese cameras covers an almost mint Nicca Snider 35 and a very rare first type Nikon S2 black paint. The fans of high quality lenses will be able to choose between the legendary Reflex-Nikkor 6.3/100cm and the scarce Konishiroku Hexanon 1.2/60mm.
We are also very pleased to be able to offer two classic Zeiss cameras from the 1930/40's: the beautiful and extremely rare Contax Jena with ivory finish and the most complete Contaflex TLR outfit we have ever seen.
Another highlight of the next auction is the wide range of historical cameras and optical toys. Next to a well preserved Goerz Anschuetz detective-camera we are able to offer two exceptional pre-Photographica: an early book-shaped French peep show for two spectators from c. 1820 and a unique dismountable Camera obscura from 1752.
