SHOW: Sat & Sun, January 29-30. Mesa Convention Center- 263 N Center St. HRS: Sat from 9am - 4:30pm; Sun, 9:30am to 4pm. Admission $10 per day, $15 for weekend pass.
AUCTION: Sat, January 29th -5pm at Phoenix Marriott Mesa (adjacent to Mesa Convention Center - 200 N Centennial Way. Preview available on Thurs from 3pm-7pm, Fri, from 9am to 5pm and Sat from 9am-4:30pm. Bidding is available in person, by phone and absentee and live online through Live Auctioneers.
HIGHLIGHTS: Native American category: Plateau Pony Beaded Dress, c1860 in fine cond, est $40,000 to $80,000;Sioux Man's Beaded Shirt, c1880 in fine cond; Cheyenne Beaded Baby Carrier, c1880 est at $25,000 to $50,000; Sioux Quilled Elk Dreamer Dress est $30,000 to $50,000. Collection of BRONZES with works by Joe Beeler, John Coleman, Harry Jackson and Bill Nebeker. FINE ART offerings with artist Will James highlighting category with signed oil on board, est $50,000 to $100,000.
For over 20 years, High Noon has deservedly earned a reputation for representing the most important and finest saddles in the world. This is what caught the attention of the Wall Street Journal resulting in their September 21, 2010 2 page editorial coverage of saddles as an investment with High Noon noted as the auction house which represents the finest and most important.
Several historic saddles will be offered with 3 Edward H Bohlin saddles at the top. A Bohlin Machris Model Parade Saddle est $35,000 to $60,000, Taxin model Parade ensemble est $40,000 to $60,000. A Dick Dickson Jr. Saddle est at $25,000 to $50,000.
And yes, as expected, the High Noon auction will feature the finest bits, spurs, gun rigs, and as always, captivating pieces of Western Hollywood.
