Charles Henry Turner,Massachusetts,1848-1908
Depicts an older gentleman dressed in a distinguished suit reading a book. Turner studied with Otto Grundman at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, eventually becoming president of the Boston Art Club.

From the collection of a Barrington, Rhode Island gentleman.
Retains an old "Grogan & Company" tag on frame, retains a partial Boston Art Club label on stretcher marked "Portrait C. H. Turner 68 Mt. Vernon St." on verso.

Two small holes to upper left by face, one hole to head, craquelure, stretcher marks, frame with areas of minor damage, otherwise good condition.
