Patinated bronze sculpture, "Sapho a la Colonne" (Sappho at a Column), signed in cast J. Pradier (Jean Jacques [James] Pradier, Swiss-French, 1790-1852), depicting the Archaic Greek female poet with a tortoise shell lyre harp, standing beside a column, on conforming platform base, crowned V.P. stamp on column, approx 17.5"h, 8"w, 7.25"d, 16.75lbs **Provenance: The estate of a Houston Socialite who enjoyed a long career in modeling, both nationally and internationally.
