"Battle of Mission Ridge Nov 25th 1863" -circa 1886, color lithograph. Framed, with inscription from James Mahaffey, (1843-1929) owner of the Windsor Hotel in Clearfield, PA. Note: This lithograph was issued by the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company to commemorate the storming of Missionary Ridge just after the Union victory at Lookout Mountain during the Chattanooga Campaign during the American Civil War in November 1863. It is based on one of the many panoramic battle paintings that toured the country just after the end of Reconstruction. Provenance: From the Lifetime Collection of Billy S. Arant, Jr., Chattanooga, TN. Approx. 33" x 42.75" (frame), 25.5" x 35.5" (sight)
