Handsome Chinese Carved Four-Panel Screen

20th century, set with lushly embroidered panels, decorated with birds nesting in dogwood and prunus branches, with wisteria and peonies, the profusion of birds including a peacock, quail, swallows and cockerels, the lower portion with smaller reverse serpentine matching panels, the hardwood frames decorated with carved and pierced scrollwork and with lotus blossoms in the corners.

In good condition. One section is missing the small embroidered panel at the bottom. No sign of damage to the remaining panels. They retain vibrant colors. The frames are nicely carved. Some the backing panels are loose.
