This lot includes: (1) Battlefields in Dixie Land And Chickamauga National Military Park Paperback. A guidebook published by the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway to about 16 Civil War battlefields and cemeteries that lay along its routes through Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama, providing details about each and its importance to the War. It also includes a description (with photo) of "The General," the Western & Atlantic Railroad locomotive that was stolen by Union soldiers and the subject of a thrilling chase. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos as well as drawings. With several maps including a 2-page map of the Chattanooga area and the Park. 64 pages. The book is approx 5" x8" and in good, vintage condition with some shelf-wear on the cover. Printed in 1928. (1) The Great Locomotive Chase On The Western & Atlantic Railroad. Booklet from Louisville & Nashville Railroad. The book is approx 4" x 7" and has no known damage.
