This volume has 98 leaves used, pages 1 and 3 each have two small banknotes, making the total number of notes 100. There is an introductory leaf tipped in to the front pastedown that indicates the focus of these banknotes:The inflation banknote series from troubled times has a cultural-historical value that increases over time!   For our younger generation this is clear, tangible evidence of how terribly the German people suffered. Every day the value of money sank by hundreds of thousands of marks, most recently with millions and billions in their pockets, most people went hungry! (Here is a comparison of values from 1914, then in 1923)The numbers speak of the unspeakable suffering the German people suffered through envy and hatred of our enemies! We saved ourselves from the flood of paper money through heavy obligations. We want to work now and hope for a better future! The notes range from one mark to ten billion marks.
