A suite of Art Nouveau carved fruitwood furniture
Circa 1900, Attributed to George De Feure (Dutch/French, 1868–1943)
Comprising of sofa, two armchairs and a pair of side chairs, upholstered in cream cotton, The sofa: 154.5cm wide x 62cm deep x 109cm high, (60 1/2in wide x 24in deep x 42 1/2in high) (5)

A comparable pearwood armchair very similar to the armchairs offered in the above suite can be found at The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Accession Number: 26.228.2.
A very similar sofa to the one offered in this lots was sold at Sotheby's New York, 2 March 2016, 20th Century Design Sale, lot 54.

Condition
Overall with some marks, scratches and small repairs consistent with age and use.
Overall some filled holes.
Upholstery with some wear, scuffing and general discolouration from use.
Sofa:
Back left-hand leg with a couple of repaired breaks and another to the back right hand leg. There is some shrinkage, some previously consolidated to the reverse of the back.
The armchairs:
Repaired break to the back right hand leg of one and to the other, a patch repair to the same leg.
The side chairs:
The side chairs with some repaired breaks, for example to the joints where the crest rail meets the uprights.
Overall structurally sound.
Overall some filled holes.
