The rock group R.E.O. Speedwagon was mostly playing heavy hard rock during the mid 70’s with only a small cult following. They were booked to perform this German tour in 1979. It was just a year later they achieved national success with their album “Hi Infidelity”, which changed their sound to a more mainstream pop style.
