Description

Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "Yacht Wall Clock", cast brass case, silvered brass dial, moon hands, 8 day, time and ship's bell strike spring driven brass movement. Serial No.151455. The clock was retailed by John Bliss & Co., New York as indicated on the dial.

Condition

cast brass case has weathered to a mellow finish with light tarnish spots, original silvered dial has light surface scratches, original hands, movement is not currently running and will need service. Engraved on the case is: "To Halvor Jacobsen Our Chief, A token from the boys of the S.A.L." (Scandavian American Lines.) 1814-1924. He was a manager of the shipping company and died in 1946 and was part of a Danish anti-nazi group in World War 2. ACCESSORIES:
