A WILLIAM IV SILVER ROSE BOWL DATED FOR LONDON 1835 BY ROBERT GARRARD
This superb solid silver bowl is in very good condition, still shaped perfectly and free from dents or blemishes. The roccoco embellishment revolves around rose designs and is beautifully executed as one might expect from a silver maker of this standard.
The Hallamarks on the bowl resolve to 1835 with a William IV head mark.
Garrard was a highly respected silversmith who worked closely with Queen Victoria and whose work is highly sought after. The company that he inherited from his father is still alive and well today and in recent times merged with Asprey's.
The bowl measures 12" in diameter and weighs 587 grams.
Condition
The bowl is in fine condition, free from dings, scratches or other blemishes.
