WW2 US Army Mine Detecting Set With Case. US WW2 Bulova Watch Company Mine Detecting Set with original "Transit Case," schematic, and Korean War era book of instructions. ID plate on front of case reads "Corps of Engineers, US Army/Detecting Set, Mines (B)/Portable Metallic AP & AT Mines/Serial # 4037 Cont. No. DA-30-875 ENG 513/Bulova Watch Co., Valley Stream, L.I." Instruction Manual is titled "Field & Depot Maintenance Instructions/Detecting Set, Mine" Published by the Departments of the Army & Air Force, Jan. 1954. 8vo, softcover, 137pp. The detecting set comes with complete detector & headset, backback, and waist pouch. Transit case includes all straps for securing detector and a tube tray (with tubes). No batteries. Detector is complete but unknown if operable--transit case shows minor wear but in very good condition.
