Six (6) 19th Century hand colored copper plate engravings on laid paper. 1st-4th items: Four (4) prints drawn by Mark Catesby (United Kingdom, 1683-1749), engraved by Johann Michael Seligmann (Germany, 1720-1762) for the German editions of COLLECTION OF VARIOUS FOREIGN AND RARE BIRDS and THE NATURAL HISTORY OF CAROLINA, FLORIDA, AND THE BAHAMA ISLANDS, published in Nurenberg, circa 1749-68. Includes: two (2) bird prints, Table VI and Table XX, and two (2) flora and fauna prints, Table LXVI and LXXXIV. 5th-6th items: Two (2) bird prints, drawn and engraved by George Edwards (United Kingdom, 1694-1773) from A NATURAL HISTORY OF UNCOMMON BIRDS, AND OF SOME OTHER RARE AND UNDESCRIBED ANIMALS, printed by C. Rickaby, London, circa 1743-51. Includes one (1) Plate 142: The Red Coot-footed Tringa and one (1) Plate 251: Otis Minor, Canne-Petiere, The Field Duck. All housed and matted under glass in near matching giltwood frames. Sights approximately: 13 3/4" H x 9 7/8" W. Framed: 19 3/4" H x 14 1/4" W.
