This looks like a beefy Colt pocket revolver when you first view it. Then it becomes clear that you have never seen this precise revolver previously, which causes a short spell of mild confusion. Then you realize it's a European knock-off from the 1860s. This is the first one of this type I've seen. It is clearly European made based on the die style of the serial numerals. It is a good copy of the Colt but not as refined, which is pretty much the same thing that can be said about most of the European made -Brevette- or -Brevet- copies. I doubt the maker of this one was licensed by Colt. No maker markings. Square-back trigger guard like on a dragoon. Marked Cal. 31.Overall NRA -Good condition. 100% original, 100% complete, and mechanically functional. Steel edges worn, and show remnants of cold blue put on in the 20th century. Good grips.
