Cadeau d’anniversaire a Otto Gunsche, aide de camp personnel d’Adolf Hitler. Recueil de dessins a la plume offerts pour le 27e anniversaire de Gunsche 24 septembre 1944 representant des vues parfois satiriques de la vie au quartier general d’Hitler a Rastenburg en Prusse-Orientale. Il est intitule Rastenburg 1944. L’auteur est inconnu. La premiere planche se rapporte a des vues de la ville mairie, château… . La deuxieme figure un dessin de Gunsche, des victuailles sous les bras, entoure d’un couple levant leurs verres avec une dedicace autographe en forme de poeme. La troisieme planche montre un dejeuner entre les differents membres de l’equipe rapprochee d’Hitler avec des commentaires satiriques et un poeme. La troisieme represente les convives en train de danser, un poeme est egalement inscrit. La quatrieme planche montre Gunsche au football. La cinquieme attable festoyant en galante compagnie. La cinquieme en guise de conclusion de ce long poeme d’anniversaire traite de l’amour. La sixieme et derniere comporte une dedicace difficilement lisible, car noircie par le feu. Couverture et dessins en partie tres fortement abimes par les flammes, certains desolidarises de l’ensemble. Ficelle de maintien de couleur verte presente, mais noircie par endroits. Format 24x30. Les flammes ont rendu ce document tres fragile. Il convient de la manipuler avec beaucoup de precautions. Important souvenir historique relatif au tout premier cercle des personnes vivant avec Hitler au quotidien. Gunsche etait l’un de ceux en qui il avait le plus confiance. C’est a lui qu’Hitler a assigne la mission de brûler son corps. Ces documents ont ete recuperes par le capitaine Michel Leroy dans le bunker d’Hitler a Berlin ou il etait entre en fraude en novembre 1945. Ces archives se trouvaient sur la table du bureau personnel de Martin Bormann. L’histoire de leur decouverte a donne lieu a un documentaire sur la chaine RMC en 2019 intitule Fuhrerbunker, les dernieres archives et la publication d’un livre, traduit en trois langues Les dernieres archives du Bunker par Paul Villatoux et Xavier Aiolfi aux editions Memorabilia. It is entitled Rastenberg 1944. The artist is unknown. The first plate shows views of the city, town hall, castle. The second features a drawing of Gunsche, supplies under his arm, surrounded by a couple raising their glasses with an autographed dedication in the form of a poem. The third shows a lunch with different members of Hitler’s inner circle with satirical comments and a poem. The fourth represents guests dancing, also with a poem. The fifth shows Gunsche at football. The sixth feasting in gallant company. The seventh as a conclusion to this long birthday poem deals with love. The eighth and final one has a dedication which is very difficult to read as it has been blackened by fire. Cover and drawings partly very badly damaged by flames, some detached. Green binding string present but blackened in places. Format 24 x 30. The flames have rendered this document very fragile. It should be handled with great care. Important historical souvenir relating to the inner circle of people living with Hitler on a daily basis. Gunsche was among those he trusted the most. Gunsche was tasked by Hitler to burn his body. These documents were salvaged by Captain Michel Leroy from Hitler’s bunker in Berlin, where he had secretly entered in November 1945. These archives were found on Martin Bormann’s personal desk. The story of their discovery was the subject of a documentary on the RMC channel in 2019 entitled Fuhrerbunker, the Final Archives and also the subject of a book The Final Archives of the Fuhrerbunker by Paul Villatoux and Xavier Aiolfi published by Memorabilia and which has been translated into three languages.
