Description

Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works builder photo of Kansas City St Joseph & Council Bluffs Railroad #521. This railroad started business in 1868 and ended up in the Chicago Burlington & Quincy in 1901. . This photograph is large and has great detail. It has the photographist name of J. Reid and Patterson, N.J. in opposite corners. There are a few condition issues but we should look so good at 130+ years old. This is a road unit with a 2-6-0 wheel configuration. The photograph is mounted on heavy linen/canvas with old backing tape on the edges. The photo is better than my pictures show. The paper is pretty supple and could be rolled for shipping. Shipping it as a pancake is an option too. We have other Roger's steam locomotive photographs in this auction.
