Description
Andre Albert Marie Dunoyer de Segonzac (French, 1884 - 1974), oil on board painting depicting a French architectural view. Signed lower right, framed. Andre Dunoyer de Segonzac is known for Modernist landscape, nudes, still life painting, war drawings, camouflage, etching. Early in his career, he went through a period of Cubist influence, but after the First World War, he became recognized as one of the leading upholders of the naturalistic tradition.
The artist was a participant in the Armory Show, also known as the International Exhibition of Modern Art, which was a show organized by the Association of American Painters and Sculptors in 1913.
