Description
Three early crucifixes. The first a pocket crucifix in carved wood, 17th century or earlier - 6 3/8" x 5 3/8"; the second in tin, signed on reverse "Santuario De Chimayo 1922" (Roman Catholic Church in Chimayo, New Mexico) - good condition - 7 1/2" x 4 1/4"; and the third, probably an ancient carved stone artifact depicting Christ on the cross -missing Christ's head - 6 3/4" x 3 1/2". Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
