Description
An antique Japanese Meiji Period tobacco or opium purse or pouch. The purse is made of black leather. The purse is adorned with a gilt mixed metal Menuki fitting depicting a figural group with two male figures and a horse. The Menuki fitting is adorned with an etched landscape view on the back. The Menuki fitting is marked with an impressed stamp. A short metal chain strap. Circa: 19th to early 20th century.
