Description
Colonial America
1750 Dated Colonial Period, ACCOUNT DUE, no place, 7.5" x 6.25", Fine.
Goods bought by John Maddin in October and December of 1750 include bridles, linen handkerchiefs, two "bushells" of salt, rum, garlic, and a velvet hunting cap. Unfortunately, Mr. Maddin doesn't seem to have paid his bill, or the balance which he already owed, as there is a note on the back to "go out up to Nov Court" to get the account processed. Chipping at right edge, couple of splits at folds.
