A large collection of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican Veracruz hand-carved from volcanic stone pieces. The collection includes Remojades style hand crafted pieces in the shape of heads or face masks depicting various emotions and wearing headdresses. One piece is made in the shape of a mask and mounted on a stick. Veracruz, Mexico. 800 to 1200 A.D. Remojadas is a name applied to a culture, an archaeological site, as well as an artistic style that flourished on Mexicos Veracruz Gulf Coast from perhaps 100 BCE to 800 CE.
