1890, SWISS: Rare Swiss coin op musical stereoscope by Henri Vidoudez, Switzerland. The mechanism holds 18 stereo cards, operated by conveyor system, rotating on quarter turn twice in each of the cylinder. The musical movement is mounted in the vase of the pillar shaped walnut case, with hinged top, ground glass light, turned and ebonized fruitwood eye pieces and nickel fittings. Three labels reading "Musique Automatique pour faire jouer mettez 10 cts", (To play automatic music put in 10 centimes) "Henri Vidoudez, Ste Croix.". With plated lyre carrying handles and crank. CONSIDERATIONS: Showing very little wear, some light scuffs from handling, but overall a great finish to the case. Mechanically sound, card conveyor works, music box plays, and lights up on 220 voltage. A great musical stereo viewer with a wonderful appearance. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: 27 - 3/4" x 20" x 25 - 7/8".
