A grouping of European silver including: An early fancy salt shaker marked .800 silver; an .800 sugar bowl with lid and holders for spoons - 19th century; seven marked .800 silver souvenir spoons including one of a European steam ship (5 souvenir spoons with enamel decoration); 5 unmarked silver souvenir spoons; an unmarked Dutch strainer with figural handle depicting man with back-pack - appears to have a gold wash applied, possibly .800 silver but not tested; and 2 large unmarked Dutch serving spoons - the bowl of one spoon decorated with embossed cows and farmer and the other bowl with windmill and dock scene, both probably .800 but have not been tested - each measures 7 3/4"L. All items in this lot in good condition. The items marked .800 silver weigh 7.5 troy oz. - the unmarked silver pieces weigh 6.2 troy oz. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
