Description
1792 1ed Thomas Paine Letters to Dundas & Onslow Americana Rights of Man
“Whatever is my right as a man is also the right of another.”
¬– Thomas Paine, Rights of Man
Thomas Paines political activism in the late 18th-century was vitally important to many of the successes of the American Revolution. He was responsible for some of the most important propaganda pamphlets at the start of the war which inspired American rebels in 1776. Paine also wrote numerous letters of correspondence to English political figures defending his Rights of Man offering explanations for his political theories and challenging the recipients (Henry Dundas and Onslow Cranley) to prove his theories wrong.
This 1792 first edition pamphlet is considerably rare and is a fascinating piece of early Americana.
