In original scabbard, ricasso marked: "US, inspector D. R. (Daniel Reynolds), 1863;" other side marked: "Ames Mfg. Co., Chicopee, Mass."; pommel also marked D.R.

Estate of Jud Samon, retired coordinator of International Faculty and Student Services at the University of Maryland at College Park.
Retains original leather washer, leather and wire wrapped grip. With normal age use and wear including wear to leather grip. Blade length: 34 1/2 in. (87.63 cm)
