Ordovician Period, 485-444 million years B.P. A polygonal matrix displaying a fossil Petraster sp. starfish, together with eleven Edrioasteroids spinadiscus lefebvrei; held in a white card collector's tray. 542 grams, 11.6 cm (4 5/8 in.). From the Tioririne Formation near El Kaid Rami, Morocco, North Africa. Acquired 1950s-1960s. From an old Bristol paleontological collection. Edrioasteroids are an extinct class of echinoderms, distantly related to starfish and sea urchins. [No Reserve]
