Oil on canvas painting representing a scientist surrounded by disciples in his workroom. It is a copy of a 1700's artwork titled The Alchemist in His Workshop by Balthasar van den Bossche, 1681 to 1715, a Flemish genre painter who gained a reputation with his representations of artist studio interiors, art collector galleries, and laboratories of physicians.
