Chinese wash stand with carved polychrome decorations. Carved and pierced crest featuring birds and flowers, over a series of vertically descending panels depicting court figures, dancers, a bird, and flowers, flanked by carved side ornaments with carved fret and butterfly motifs. Inset shelf section with bat and flower carved sides, over an x-form base with pierced stretchers and carved front posts, supporting a circular brass wash bowl. 63"H x 21"W x 18"D. Early 20th century.

Overall good condition. Some wear and water stains throughout, some age shrinkage splits to posts, wear and oxidation to brass bowl.
