Attributed to Arkhip Ivanovich Kuindzhi, Russian, 1841 to 1910, oil on canvas painting. Depicts a rural landscape with a village house in the background. Titled Ukrainian Night and signed on the label mounted to the back. Circa the late 19th century. Framed. Arkhip Kuindzhi was a Ukrainian landscape painter of Pontic Greek descent active in the Russian Empire. He was co-partner of traveling art exhibitions, a group of realist artists of the Russian Empire who in protest to academic restrictions formed an artists cooperative which evolved into the Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions Peredvizhniki in 1870.
