Description
THREE TREES after Rembrandt, engraving on chain laid paper, initialed on the plate center left in design, inscribed in pencil on verso, plate 8 ¼ x 11”, with thin margins, sheet 9 x 11 ¾”, matted. With Collector’s stamp (Lugt 1425) from Reverend J. Burleigh James on verso. Note: The Reverend’s collection, principally with works by Durer and Rembrandt, was disbursed in 1877 by Sotheby’s. Another impression recently sold at Bassenge Auction for $904 hammer ($850 Euro).
Condition
Small loss upper left corner, otherwise in overall good aged condition.
