AMERICAN ART POTTERY ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, possibly attributed to Albert F. Pons (1888-1972), comprising a low-form dish with carved exterior design and a squat-form vase with two loop handles, each having thick dark green exterior glaze, and light-colored interior glaze. Each having incised "AP" mark to underside probably for Albert Pons, one having additional "MW / 1911" and remaining having additional "P1 / MW / 11". Circa 1911. 2 7/8" HOA.
Literature: Decorator mark as Peck - The Book of Rookwood Pottery, p. 140.
Catalogue Note: Albert Pons began working at Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati, OH when he was only 16 years old. He was employed here from 1904 to 1911.
