Description
This machine, in its elaborate oak first style cabinet with its spooled corners has been refinished - with a good patina, presents well and in overall good condition. Has its early "pre-dog" Victor Eldridge R. Johnson ID tag and an original long throat Victor concert reproducer in good condition. The wooden tone arm has its original finish and hardware in average condition. The cast iron lower support arm has original nickel plating which is well worn with some surface rust. See photos. Original winding crank and record hold down and motor winds and runs. Has an original, early 21-1/2" L black and brass horn with a 11" D brass bell which is in fair condition - just a bit wrinkled and tarnished. The horn body has its original black paint and wide gold pinstripe in poor condition with numerous scrapes and scratches throughout . See photos. Note: this is a very early leather elbow style horn with the bold pinstripe and early style joints. Also included is an original leather elbow which is hard and fragile but is in otherwise good condition. Cabinet measures 13" X 13" X 6" T. From the Wayne Wolf Collection.
