Description
Cello with bow and corduroy case. Two labels inside cello, one "Joseph Guarnerius Fecit, Cremonae Anno 1737", one for Charles F. Albert, Philadelphia violin maker and repairer. Body (only) 29" H, overall 48" H x 17" W x 5" D. Bow is unmarked. The cello was owned by Dorothy McLean Cole, mother of Edward P. Cole, Jr. who played the instrument in the Chicago Civic Orchestra, and then passed it down to his son, Edward A. Cole.
