HOF Signed Baseball Lot, Gibson, Mize, Robinson

Fantastic lot of 3 team signed baseballs highlighted by the signatures of Hall of Famers Johnny Mize, Bob Gibson, and Brooks Robinson, as well as activist and father of free agency, Curt Flood. Please see pictures for condition. 

Bob Gibson was a legendary American baseball pitcher who played his entire 17-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Gibson was known for his fierce competitiveness, blazing fastball, and intimidating demeanor on the mound. He earned two Cy Young Awards and led the Cardinals to multiple World Series victories and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. 

Johnny Mize, nicknamed the "Big Cat," was a fearsome first baseman and a prolific power hitter during his 15-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants. Mize's powerful swing led to numerous home runs and a place in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Brooks Robinson, known as "Mr. Oriole," had a remarkable 23-year career with the Baltimore Orioles. His defensive prowess at third base earned him an unprecedented 16 Gold Glove Awards. Instrumental in leading the Orioles to multiple championships, Robinson's legacy as one of baseball's greatest defenders endures to this day.

Curt Flood was an exceptional baseball player who made his mark on and off the field. He was a top center fielder, winning seven Gold Glove Awards for his outstanding defense. But what made him truly remarkable was his fight against the reserve clause, which helped pave the way for players' rights and free agency in the sport.

The consignor was an advanced collector of sports memorabilia and bought from reputable sources such as MLB, Mears, Goldin, Heritage, and of course University Archives.
