A TESLA PR-53 'FAUN' Portable Surveillance Transceiver, Czechoslovakian, 1970s/80's, including microphone, speaker, leads, and aerial, transceiver numbered 0741 081634 / 0744 0760 to the underside, in moulded plastic casing, transceiver 9in x 11in x 1in (23cm x 28cm x 2.5cm) Footnotes: Provenance: The John Elgar-Whinney collection of clandestine radios and cipher machines. The radio was introduced in the early 1980s and was intended for police surveillance, covert operations, observation tasks and secure communication.
