Ca. 1940 AD.
U.S. World War II Naval Officer’s Dress Sword. It was imported by Hilborn Hamburger from Soligan, Germany. Stainless steel blade etched with anchors, eagle, stars, U.S.N., etc. Star of David proof mark. Gilt brass hilt with pierced guard with acorn and oak leaf designs and letters U.S.N. Eagle and star decorated pommel. Wire-wrapped imitation sharkskin grip. Condition: Near mint.
