Description
Pyotr Abrosimov, Moscow, circa 1890-91, a Russian 840 silver engine-turned snuff box, the interior struck to underside of lid and base of body with Cyrillic "PA" for Abrosimov, and with 84 and hallmarks for Moscow, together with assaymaster's mark of A. Romanov, Moscow, 1890, the rectangular box engine-turned with central cartouche, the interior gilt washed and engraved with Russian presentation inscription: "On the day of the 25th Litiya / of the Director of the M.K.B. [Moskovskii Kreditnyi Bank] / V.P. Lyakhov / from the servants / 1 December 1891". Weight: 2.5 ozt.; 1" H x 3" W x 1.75" D.
