Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Chime Clock No. 2003", mantel clock, mahogany case with decorative marquetry inlays, 5.5 inch chapter ring with cast, matte gilt fret surround and center, serpentine hands, spring driven 8 day time and strike brass movement (No. 89X) with an 8 bell resonant "Sonora" chime movement (No. 104E) which plays both Westminster and Whittington chimes
Condition
the mahogany case is in overall good original condition with a uniform crackled dull finish, surface scratch/imperfection on top left with paint speckles, front left and right case edges with some small abrasions to veneer as well as on lower base trim, original composite dial in good condition overall with some small tarnish spots to silvered chapter ring and at the right winding arbor, original hands with heavy soldered repair to minute hand causing contact with hour hand, chime movement will need service as it does not appear to be running when wound and tested, ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, circa 1915
