In vintage frame.

This is a fine example of a portrait in the goldtone photographic process, which Curtis popularized. Most likely taken on a film set, the unique characteristics of the goldstone process, glowing highlights and deep shadows, are rendered in great detail.

Theodore Kosloff was a Russian-born ballet dancer, choreographer and film and stage actor. During the 1920s Kosloff appeared in many Cecil B. De Mille productions, including The Ten Commandments, which Curtis worked on also.
