Crepuscule, Anemiter, vallee de l'Ounila, Grand Atlas, signature incised in wet paint lower left "J. Majorelle", inscribed verso, old labels verso with title and numbered "24", oil on hardboard, 18-1/2 x 24 in.; original painted wood frame, 23-3/4 x 29-1/4 in.

Provenance: Collection of the Artist, Marrakech; Acquired by his friend, student, and fellow artist, Charles Holbing (studio in Marrakech and a drawing teacher at the Lycee Ibn Abbad), whose widow sold the painting for $400 (for funds to travel back to France) to Ernest Milford and Edith Louise Morgan, North Carolina/North Africa, circa 1950s-1973; By descent in family
