Item Details

Description

Luftwaffe presentation sword, 28.5 in. blade and 36 in. overall, with a carved wooden grip covered in blue Moroccan leather, tightly brass wire wrapped. The circular pommel features a gilt swastika at the center, with decorative oak leaves embossed on the edge. The cross guard is comprised of approx. 2.5 in. silver wings, a gilded swastika at the center. At the ricasso is the maker mark for WKC, Solingen. The straight blade bears no other marks and remains remarkably clean. Housed within a black pebbled scabbard with aluminum fittings, complete with leather hanger attached to the suspension rings. Some light oxidation to the cross guard with a few nicks to the grip and pommel. Overall a very nice and clean example.
