"We had just made it to the second floor of the main building. Most of my guys went right and left to clear the rooms. That left two of us to go up the final set of stairs to the third and final floor. Bin Laden's bedroom. I squeezed the shoulder of the "Point man" to tell him we were going up. There must be suicide bomber, But I'm tired of thinking about it. Let's just get it over with. He went straight through a curtain at the top and tackled some people. I went right and there was Bin Laden. I shot him twice in the head as he was standing and once more for God + Country: Geronimo. 5-2-11, Robert O'Neill"

Robert J. O'Neill (1976-) is a former U.S. Navy SEAL whose military career spanned between 1996 and 2012. After participating in May 2011's Operation Neptune Spear with SEAL Team Six, he became the subject of controversy for claiming to be the sole individual to kill Osama bin Laden.
