Nine issues of the important journal of black liberation theory Black Politics: A Journal of Liberation. Published by Japanese-American Black Panther Richard Aoki (under the pseudonym Richard Assegai), white radical Tom Sanders, and Ed Turner, the journal was closely linked with the Black Panther Party and international socialism. Articles focus on Communism and global leftist politics, urban guerrilla warfare and weaponry, and the repression of the Panthers, especially Huey P. Newton with many of the writers using assumed names. The weaponry articles by George Prosser (pseudonym, possibly Tom Sanders) prompted congressional committee investigation. (Danky 970).
