Description
Canadian. Circa 1943. Colour lithograph. The artist was R. Hubert Rogers (1898-1992). Poster translation "When last seen, Colonel Merritt was collecting Bren and Thompson's guns and preparing the position which successfully covered the re embarkation. Extract from the citation from the Victory Cross of Colonel Merritt of the "South Saskatchewan Regiment". Dieppe, August 19, 1949" Issuer's mark on lower border with printers mark ("DPI" - Director of Public Information) named at lower right. Marked "UE-5L" at lower right. 36" x 24". The Howie Meyer Legacy Collection.
Condition
Overall good color. Faint horizontal crease extends from center of right edge to approx. 10 inches across along with other minor creases.
